KEYS TO SPIRITUAL IMPARTATION

Many of God’s people today walk with a mindset of obligation and not a heart desiring spiritual impartation, therefore they can’t receive the keys of the kingdom. The keys of the kingdom are only given to those on pilgrimage, desperately tracking the pathways of the Father to know His heart in this day. There is a reward for those who hunger and thirst for the glory. Glory Seekers are Glory Carriers!

Psalms 84: 2, 5 & 7

My soul longs, yes, even faints For the courts of the LORD; My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. 5. Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, Whose heart is set on pilgrimage. 7. They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.

Jesus said in Mathew 5:6; Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. To be “filled” means to lack nothing, being in the state of completeness. Spiritual keys are for true sons! We are sons of God based on the redemptive works of Christ, awareness of our godlike nature and relationship with the Him. Fellowship with the Father is fundamental to the sons of God, it is the fundamental key that unlocks His presence.

FELLOWSHIP PROVOKES IMPARTATION

Many people pray but they don’t fellowship with God. The word fellowship involves the active participation of more than an individual coming together to interact and engage. Fellowship is deliberate act of engagement, this is a corporate activity with the intent to provoke mutual understanding, unity and cooperation. Many times we set time to pray and we come into prayer with the mindset of that limited time, for example you say to yourself “I’m going to be praying for 10 minutes”, and so you keep checking your time to see when it’s almost three minutes before the 10 minutes mark. Then you say yourself, well I’m almost done. This is a religious mindset, you can’t unlock fellowship with the spirit that way. How many of you have been in prayer and while you are in prayer, you are thinking of something else, something you are supposed to do, some place you need to go, something you’ve got to do.

THE FOUR DIMENSION OF FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

Ezekiel 47:1-8

1 Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. 2 He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. 3 And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. 4 Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to my waist. 5 Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. 6 He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen this?” Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river. 7 When I returned, there, along the bank of the river, were very many trees on one side and the other. 8 Then he said to me: “This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.

We are looking at the four dimensions of fellowship with God.  We need to step to the next level in our walk with God. To step to the next level with God, there is a need for Impartation. Ezekiel is telling us about a vision he had, and in that vision he saw a man and this man was positioned around the temple, and from the temple water was coming forth water. The bible says when the man went out to the east with line in his hand, he measured 1000 cubits and he brought him through the waters, the water came up to the ANKLE then to the KNEES, the WAIST and lastly a BODY of water that can’t be crossed.

ANKLE DEEP

The ankle deep is the first step in the spirit. Ankles are symbolic of stability, flexibility and mobility, they are indicators of our ability to embrace change in our belief system. You are stepping into the peripheral realm of a spiritual reality and making the necessary adjustment.

KNEE DEEP

In the knee level, you have gained stronger momentum but there’s still a struggle, you are more focused, more conscious that you are in prayer. Your spirit is now boiling and the resistance is getting lesser. Just like the ankle, knees signify spiritual flexibility and mobility. Pride or humility are two opposite peculiarities associated with the knee. When we bow our knees, we express worship, humility and honor to another. When we hold back bending our knee at opportune times that demands it, it is an act of defiance either for good or otherwise depending on the circumstances. The 3 Hebrew boys (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) defied the King, refusing to identify with the Babylonian gods and system. (Daniel 3)

WAIST DEEP

The waist level, this is the dimension in prayer where you begin to feel a release and detachment away from the lower realms, you are caught up between the heavenly and lower realms, a taste of both worlds at the same time. This is a delicate place to be, oftentimes we go in and out of this place. While we are being drawn into fellowship with the Father, the gravity pull of emotional baggage of unresolved issues, traumas and stresses from the past and present that occupy our mind and even our bodies tend to decelerate us.

DEEP RIVER

Lastly it was a river that could not be crossed for the water was too deep. This is what I refer to as the “timeless zone”. Nothing matters, no one matters, you are captured in the glory zone, lost in prayer. In this place you receive, or you unlock impartation in the spirit. You’ve exited the mundane realms of human life. All the distractions, all appointments, all engagements, all routine cancelled. You are now stuck in this place with God. May we desire to get to that place of love entanglement with the Father.

When we are in prayer God is actually changing our hearts, changing the way we feel and think about things. The person who goes into prayer must be different from the person who came out of prayer. If the person who went into prayer is the same person who came out of prayer, then they never prayed. The reason why we can’t access impartation from God is because we go into prayer, and we come back the same way. You went in with unforgiveness, you got out in unforgiveness, you went in with bitterness and resentment in your heart, you got out the same. The walk of faith requires a deliberate and consistent effort to overcome self. It is not an event!

The scripture tells us in the days of the early apostles, Paul’s apron and handkerchiefs, healed the sick. Peter’s shadow healed the sick. This means that the anointing that was upon Peter also rested upon his shadow. Same thing with Paul who’s apron and handkerchief healed the sick.

Acts 19:11-12 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

These are the dynamics of spiritual impartation. For these things to happen to you there must be a desire to walk in the supernatural and when you see a man who walks in the supernatural, you must follow them. Follow them foolishly because it is that kind of dedication that makes the anointing from that individual become transferable to you. Never let the imperfection in that person become a stumbling block to your dedication, the moment you allow that, you will be cut off from the flow of that grace into your life.

The story of Elijah and Elisha is a spiritual principle to learn from (I have done a series of teaching on that previously). Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ, another translation renders the word “follow” as IMITATE. To imitate means to be modeled after someone or something, to make a copy of, to reproduce closely.

In the story of Moses and his sister’s (Miriam), the scriptures made us understand that they began speaking against Moses and they got LEPROSY, while others (Joshua and Caleb) got LEGACY. God heard their conversation and God brought judgement upon them.

Long prayers are not more effective than short prayers. It depends on where you are in life and the extent of your burden. The mother of Samuel (Hanna), deeply burdened for the blessing of a child went into the temple and passionately ministered unto the Lord in prayer. But her posture was unusual, she was mumbling, speaking quietly to God. The high priest came and saw her and assumed she was drunk. (1 Samuel 1:8-18).

Eli, heavy in the flesh could not distinguish between spirit driven posture in prayer and one that is fleshy. Hanna was detached from everything, submerged in the river of God’s presence, it is from that place she conceived a son. Solution is first given in the spirit realm before it becomes tangible in the natural realm. There is a river you must swim in to unlock purpose, potentials, power and destiny, things that are meant for you.

GRACE THROUGH FELLOWSHIP

2 Corinthians 13:14, The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the presence and fellowship (the communion and sharing together, and participation) in the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen (so be it). (Amp.)

Paul says, let the grace of God be with you, meaning to remain functional in and through the enablement of God. The effectual working of this grace is contingent upon fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The word fellowship and communion are more or less the same, it means to commune and to commute with God. This is where spiritual alterations take place, right in the presence of God; the SIN nature give way for the Son nature.

LOVE OF GOD

We must become lovers of God and forsake the ego. The love of self are impedimental to the flow of God’s life. Only lovers of God are exclusively able to unlock dimensions in the spirit. The love of self preserves self. The love of God denies self. Self seeking and kingdom seeking are at opposite ends. A lover of God never seeks anything outside the kingdom of God. By default, they prioritize the things of the kingdom.

There are certain dimensions in the spirit (if not all), that we can never walk in unless we walk in the love of God and love for people. The reason why we can’t walk in the supernatural is the love of self.

Not everyone loves God, a lot of people do things out of obligation and not out of devotion. Folks like what God can offer them, but they fail in offering their flesh as a burnt sacrifice unto God.
